Some Black Artists who are not
Nothing wrong with these incredible artists but they aren’t the only ones making art and are also black.
Devin Troy Strother
They make us laugh, and they also happen to be good-looking.
OMG OMG OMG!! YOU GUYS!!! I just found out via a friend tagging me on Facebook that I was listed on AfterEllen.com as one of their top 40 Hot Queer Women in Comedy!
Congrats!!! That is killer.
Fall fashion means one thing for sure: frustration at not being able to find boots that fit around my calves.
Many white people may never truly understand why incidents like the Michael Brown shooting infuriate blacks and other people of color — even when it’s clear that race plays a large, looming role in how the situation snowballed to the 18-year-old’s death.
This is in part because white people can move through daily life without constantly thinking about how their race will be perceived. Part of having white privilege is the freedom from worrying about racism, a freedom their black counterparts have never known. But it gives black people a unique yet challenging perspective by which they navigate the world.
Except for #7 haha. I can confirm, I very rarely get called back for interviews even though my resume is awesome.
Ughhh I let myself get way too angry about shit on the internet again. Why can’t I learn to just turn off the damn device before I get like this!
why the fuck does kimberly get less coffee

This is the perfect visual metaphor for heterosexuality.
I really can’t get over what a good metaphor this is.
they could’ve just made them square but that’d probably be too gay
but then how would the dude be in the lady’s space, expropriating her value? D:
Guys, this is obviously literally meant as a metaphor for the depressingly common dynamics of most heterosexual relationships, and indeed of society in general.
the ‘hers’ cup only appears to have a normal shape when paired with the ‘his’ cup. on its own, the cup would appear to be missing something. why is heterosexuality so terrible?
i got so much hate for this post, so i feel like doubling down. what i meant by my comment was that women get treated like we’re missing something if we aren’t in the presence of a man. if i’m walking around with a guy, everyone leaves me alone - they treat me like, you know, a stranger. if i’m not with a dude, guys come up and say shit to me - from mildly hitting on me to vile harassment & threats.
an example: twice in the last few weeks i was on a date with this woman and on both occasions dudes tried to hit on one or both of us. even after i informed them that i was on a date and not interested, both dudes tried to join our date. its gross. its not just those two dudes. this will happen to me again. it happens literally every day. it is a pervasive social problem. this problem is called heterosexuality.
Zelda Wynn Valdes was the first black female fashion designer to own her own boutique. Her famous, figure hugging silhouette was worn by stars such as Dorothy Dandridge, Josephine Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, Joyce Bryant, Maria Cole, Edna Robinson and later superstars like Gladys Knight and opera diva Jessye Norman. She also designed dresses for legendary figures like Marlene Dietrich and Mae West.
Valdes came up with the costume for the Playboy Bunny which remains the same to this day.
Anonymous said: whats the name of a skull tattoo with makeup and flowers around the eyes ? etc .. can't describe it
If you don’t know what it’s called, it’s not part of your culture and you certainly need to think long and hard before tattooing it on yourself.
